Hey guy's. I just got a BBB and I opened it up...added a recon spring and took AR's out. Now when I put it back together I cock it. Shoot it. And then I can't cock it again. I mean it's stuck in the position it's in when it's cocked. I'll put pic's up soon. Please help. And yes I have the cocking mechinisims.
Edit: Pics up!

I've had this problem before. Twist the front of the gun against the back of the gun. Then, you should be able to uncock it. I never had it explained to me why you have to do this.

Well I've had this problem once.
Did you happen to take out the white "air restricter piece"?
That piece kinda acts like a plunger stop, so when you fire your gun
the plunger shoots forward more then its supposed to and gets stuck.

- I think that's what happened. - Sub280

From the picture, this piece looks pretty worn out. If it's too worn out, it won't be able to push the orange blocks out of the way.

Really, it's not like you press a button and it goes back to normal. I would give a good SLAP to it when it gets stuck. Sometimes I shoot it before it's all the way back and it doesn't budge. Try giving it a good wack on the opposite end of the barrel. If that doesn't work, try dissassembling the ENTIRE gun and make sure everything is clean. Any moving parts included...

I would bet it's the top slider tube getting stuck. It happened to me a lot too when I minimized my BBB. The tip of the tube attached to the back half of the gun is probably getting stuck on one of the ribs inside the front of that part of the gun, open it up next time it sticks and if that is it just shave the rib down in the front half of the gun.

If you removed the orange arrow barrel the plunger tube is probably too far forward, try moving it backwards and putting the arrow barrel back in.

Does the gun un-cock if you pull on the two spring-loaded orange pieces? Sometimes those are a bit off-kilter when you re-assemble the gun, and the plunger "wings" do not push them outwards (leaving the gun cocked). I didn't do anything special to fix mine - I just took it apart and reassembled it carefully.

That made me laugh so hard!!!!! On topic: Once I cock it, then shoot it, the whole frame fall's apart... It's wierd.
And the screws are screwed in tightly!

I'm surprised nobody else has quoted this post yet. It's fucking hilarious. I must say, 'added that hilarious quote to my signature, while playing with my butthole!'

ok. perhaps the plunger does not go far enough forward to release the side whozamahwhutzits. If you have padding or something in front of the plunger head or the top of the plunger tube like a foam or something to help against the head hitting too hard that could keep the gun from returning to is start position and not allowing you do cock the gun again.

Yeah, it's definitely the small slider setup on the top of your BBB. Look at your first picture, at the very top of the blaster where you did the minimization. See the small lip around the edge of the small slider stick? That lip gets stuck on a rib in the back of the piece the slider stick goes through. When you minimized the top part of the front of the gun (where the front sight hole was) you took out a couple of screw positions. Those screws held the top of the blaster together tight enough that the little slider stick couldn't be forced backward past the last rib on the inside of the top of the gun. Without those, the slider stick catches when you fire the blaster and the stick being forced past that last rib shoves the gun shell open a little.

Okay, I think I know the cause of this problem and how to fix it. First off, when this happened to me, I didn't know what was wrong and the first thing that I looked at was the front of the gun. I believe that the part causing the problem is the part that connects to the original barrel, it's in the wrong spot.
I think (If I can remember correctly) it's grooves should line up with the plastic edges in the shell. If that doesn't work, try putting it more towards the front. What's causing the problem (well in my gun at least) is that the front part get's separated from the plunger tube and it conflicts with the cocking mechanism. One time, I opened my gun and the plunger tube was completely separated from the front part...to solve this I hot-glued it in place.
EDIT:

EDIT 2: Hopefully what I described helped...(just read the 2 posts above)
